Timonius sessilis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Maluku. Nama ilmiah Timonius sessilis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Rudolph Herman Christiaan Carel Scheffer pada tahun 1909.
