Townsendia montana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Amerika Serikat barat-tengah. Nama ilmiah Townsendia montana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Marcus Eugene Jones pada tahun 1893.
