Trachypogon spicatus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis dan subtropis Amerika, kawasan tropis Afrika dan Afrika Selatan, Madagaskar. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan spiked crinkleawn. Nama ilmiah Trachypogon spicatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Linnaeus the Younger pada tahun 1891.
