Trachyspermum pimpinelloides merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Apiaceae (suku adas-adasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ethiopia hingga Tanzania timur laut dan Socotra. Nama ilmiah Trachyspermum pimpinelloides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Isaac Bayley Balfour pada tahun 1927.
