Tracyina rostrata merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah California (Humboldt County, Lake County). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan indian headdress. Nama ilmiah Tracyina rostrata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Sidney Fay Blake pada tahun 1937.
