Tradescantia deficiens adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Commelinaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tenggara hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Tradescantia deficiens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Townshend Stith Brandegee pada tahun 1915.
