Tradescantia pallida adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Commelinaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan purple queen. Nama ilmiah Tradescantia pallida pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joseph Nelson Rose pada tahun 1975.
