Tragia aurea merupakan tumbuhan perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Bolivia. Nama ilmiah Tragia aurea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Henry Hurd Rusby pada tahun 1907.
