Trapa hyrcana adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan air (hidrofit) dari famili Lythraceae yang hidup semusim. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Kaukasia. Nama ilmiah Trapa hyrcana diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Yury Nikolaevich Voronov pada tahun 1917.
