Trichopteryx fruticulosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Gabon hingga Tanzania dan kawasan tropis Afrika bagian selatan. Nama ilmiah Trichopteryx fruticulosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Emilio Chiovenda pada tahun 1914.
