Trichosanthes erosa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Cucurbitaceae (suku labu-labuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Trichosanthes erosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Brigitta Emma Elisabeth Duyfjes pada tahun 2004.
