Trichosanthes pedata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Cucurbitaceae (suku labu-labuan) yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China selatan hingga Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Trichosanthes pedata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Elmer Drew Merrill pada tahun 1934.
