Trifolium alexandrinum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Mesir hingga Pakistan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan egyptian clover. Nama ilmiah Trifolium alexandrinum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1755.
