Trifolium scutatum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Mediterania timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan shield clover. Nama ilmiah Trifolium scutatum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Pierre Edmond Boissier pada tahun 1843.
