Triplasiella eragrostoides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Selatan Serikat, Meksiko, Kuba, hingga Venezuela. Nama ilmiah Triplasiella eragrostoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Vasey pada tahun 2016.
