Tripterocalyx crux-maltae merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Nyctaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nevada barat laut hingga California (Lassen County). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan lassen sandverbena. Nama ilmiah Tripterocalyx crux-maltae pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Albert Kellogg pada tahun 1909.
