Trisetopsis capensis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Trisetopsis capensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Herold Georg Wilhelm Johannes Schweickerdt pada tahun 2013.
