Tristachya leucothrix adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tanzania hingga Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Tristachya leucothrix pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Bernhard von Trinius pada tahun 1829.
