Turpinia occidentalis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Staphyleaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan muttonwood. Nama ilmiah Turpinia occidentalis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1832.
