Typha joannis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Typhaceae yang dapat tumbuh di media yang tergenang air (helofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Mongolia hingga Amur barat daya. Nama ilmiah Typha joannis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Evgenij Vladimirovich Mavrodiev pada tahun 2001.
