Urochloa gilesii merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Australia tengah dan timur. Nama ilmiah Urochloa gilesii diperkenalkan oleh George Bentham pada tahun 1923.
