Urochloa glumaris merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China (Yunnan) hingga wilayah tropis Asia dan Pasifik. Nama ilmiah Urochloa glumaris diperkenalkan oleh Carl Bernhard von Trinius pada tahun 1996.
