Urochloa platynota adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kenya hingga Zambia. Nama ilmiah Urochloa platynota diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Karl Moritz Schumann pada tahun 1940.
