Urochloa sclerochlaena adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ethiopia hingga Kenya. Nama ilmiah Urochloa sclerochlaena diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Emilio Chiovenda pada tahun 1951.
