Urtica ballotifolia merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Urticaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Selatan bagian barat hingga Venezuela barat laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan horehound-leaf nettle. Nama ilmiah Urtica ballotifolia diperkenalkan oleh Hugh Algernon Weddell pada tahun 1852.
