Uvaria caffra merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau pohon dari famili Annonaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menjalar. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Mozambique selatan hingga Provinsi Cape timur. Nama ilmiah Uvaria caffra diperkenalkan oleh Ernst Heinrich Friedrich Meyer pada tahun 1860.
