Vachellia abyssinica merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eritrea hingga kawasan tropis Afrika bagian selatan. Nama ilmiah Vachellia abyssinica diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Christian Ferdinand Friedrich Hochstetter pada tahun 2013.
