Valeriana pumila merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Caprifoliaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Valeriana pumila diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Ludwig von Willdenow pada tahun 1797.
