Vallisneria australis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan air (hidrofit) dari famili Hydrocharitaceae yang hidup menahun. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia. Nama ilmiah Vallisneria australis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Surrey Wilfrid Laurance Jacobs pada tahun 2008.
