Vellozia armata merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Velloziaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Vellozia armata mulai dipublikasikan pada tahun 1996.
