Vellozia caput-ardeae adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Velloziaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Vellozia caput-ardeae pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Lyman Bradford Smith pada tahun 1976.
