Vellozia hirsuta merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Velloziaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Bahia, Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Vellozia hirsuta pertama kali dipublikasikan pada tahun 1937.
