Vellozia sellowii merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Velloziaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia timur hingga Brazil (Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Vellozia sellowii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Moritz August Seubert pada tahun 1847.
