Venegasia carpesioides adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang California hingga Meksiko (Baja California Norte). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan canyon sunflower. Nama ilmiah Venegasia carpesioides diperkenalkan oleh Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1838.
