Verbena barbata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Verbenaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko (?). Nama ilmiah Verbena barbata diperkenalkan oleh Robert Graham pada tahun 1827.
