Verbesina elegans merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Kolombia, Bolivia tengah dan timur. Nama ilmiah Verbesina elegans diperkenalkan oleh Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1818.
