Verbesina petrophila merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Meksiko (Puebla, Oaxaca). Nama ilmiah Verbesina petrophila pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Townshend Stith Brandegee pada tahun 1909.
