Verbesina pterocarpha merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Meksiko (Jalisco, México State, Michoacán). Nama ilmiah Verbesina pterocarpha pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Sidney Fay Blake pada tahun 1930.
