Verbesina sororia merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Meksiko (San Luis PotosÃ). Nama ilmiah Verbesina sororia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Asa Gray pada tahun 1880.
