Vernonia dissimilis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Amerika Serikat bagian tenggara. Nama ilmiah Vernonia dissimilis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Henry Allan Gleason pada tahun 1906.
