Veronica crista-galli merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kaukasia timur hingga Iran utara. Nama ilmiah Veronica crista-galli pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian von Steven pada tahun 1812.
