Viburnum japonicum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Viburnaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China (Zhejiang), Korea Selatan, Jepang selatan dan selatan-tengah, hingga Nansei-shoto. Nama ilmiah Viburnum japonicum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Peter Thunberg pada tahun 1824.
