Vicia amoena merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Asia beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Vicia amoena pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich Ernst Ludwig von Fischer pada tahun 1825.
