Vicia berteroana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Chili tengah. Nama ilmiah Vicia berteroana diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Rodolfo Amando Philippi pada tahun 1857.
