Vicia humilis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Vicia humilis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1824.
