Vicia melanops adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eropa selatan-tengah dan tenggara hingga Türkiye. Nama ilmiah Vicia melanops pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis James Edward Smith pada tahun 1813.
