Viola affinis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Violaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada bagian timur hingga Amerika Serikat bagian timur dan timur-tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sand violet. Nama ilmiah Viola affinis diperkenalkan oleh John (Eatton) Leconte pada tahun 1826.
