Viola rugosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Violaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Chili (Maule selatan) hingga Argentina (Neuquén). Nama ilmiah Viola rugosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Rodolfo Amando Philippi pada tahun 1922.
