Vitex schaueriana merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil timur laut (hingga Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Vitex schaueriana diperkenalkan oleh Harold Norman Moldenke pada tahun 1937.
