Wedelia fruticosa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Martinique hingga Venezuela. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan coastal plain creepingoxeye. Nama ilmiah Wedelia fruticosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Nikolaus Joseph von Jacquin pada tahun 1760.
